Job summary

A leading logistics service provider in Shah Alam is seeking a senior finance professional. The role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and cash flow, with responsibilities for overseeing the ERP system and supporting internal controls. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s in finance/accounting, relevant certifications, and 5+ years of experience in finance, including 2 years in a senior role. Fluent English and Bahasa are required.

Job description

This role ensures effective group financial and management reporting, including individual and consolidated reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, compliance, and risk management. This candidate will assist the Accountant to maintain strong internal controls and high accuracy in all financial processes. Additionally, this position oversees the integration and effective use of the company’s ERP system and collaborates closely with the inter-department to strengthen governance, providing strategic financial insights while managing day-to-day finance operations to support the company’s growth and stability.

Job Descriptions:

Support the preparation and delivery of individual, group financial and management reporting, including individual entity and consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process, including variance analysis and performance monitoring to support management decision‑making.

Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements, including liaison with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.

Assist the Accountant in maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring high levels of accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all financial processes and records.

Identify, assess, and support the management of financial and operational risks, contributing to the enhancement of risk management and governance frameworks.

Oversee the integration, optimization, and effective utilization of the Company’s ERP system, ensuring alignment with business processes and reporting requirements.

Collaborate closely with inter‑departmental teams to strengthen financial governance, improve process efficiency, and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.

Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support business planning, growth initiatives, and operational improvements.

Manage and support day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring smooth execution of accounting, reporting, and administrative finance functions.

Perform monthly inter‑company reconciliations and streamline related party transactions, billings, and contra entries.

Responsible for day‑to‑day financial activities and promptly highlight key findings to the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent. A professional certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification would be an added advantage.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Candidate with logistics experience will be an advantage.

Strong understanding of Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws (or ability to quickly get up to speed) given the company’s operating environment. Independently manage and handle tasks assigned.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Good command in English and Bahasa.
