A financial services company based in Kampung Krubong is seeking a Finance Executive to handle full sets of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with SST, and managing daily financial operations. Strong English skills are required while knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous. Hands-on experience with AutoCount accounting software is mandatory.
Handle full set of accounts independently, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and month-end and year-end closing.
Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation, General Ledger reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, and balance sheet schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis accurately and on time.
Manage daily financial operations, including updating financial records and spreadsheets based on daily transactions.
Oversee cash flow management, payment processing, and expense claims administration.
Prepare and submit Sales and Service Tax (SST) returns and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations.
Review and audit financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
Ensure all invoices, payments, and expenses are properly recorded, coded to approved budgets, and supported with complete documentation.
Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and filing systems in accordance with statutory, audit, and company requirements.
Utilize and maintain accounting data within ERP systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and proper system controls.
Hands‑on experience with AutoCount accounting software is mandatory; experience with other ERP systems will be an added advantage.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and external parties when required.
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Provide timely financial reports and ad‑hoc analysis to management and senior executives.
Ensure strict compliance with the company’s financial policies, ISO 9001 standards, and Quality Management System (QMS).
Safeguard the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee‑related information.
Ensure all financial data is properly maintained, up to date, and securely backed up.
Assist in day‑to‑day finance and office administration under the direction of the General Manager.
Attend finance department and company‑wide meetings, providing financial input where required.
Maintain 5S practices, good housekeeping, and professional discipline to support a productive work environment.
Identify, escalate, and report any financial irregularities or suspected misconduct in accordance with company procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree of Professional Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Administration or equivalent.
Understanding of data privacy standards; familiarity with business principles and practices. At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the position.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Have a strong sense of commitment, good interpersonal skills and able to work independently.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Basic knowledge MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) and AutoCount Accounting System.
Good command of English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
