Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the technical sales account penetration strategy for each market, introducing new products and technologies to existing and prospective customers.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements, product technologies, competition, and design processes.
  • Establish strong relationships with key technical decision makers and influencers in each account.
  • Collaborate with the design, production, and engineering departments to identify and understand design requirements from the system level down to individual elements, offering technical strategies to resolve customer design challenges.
  • Drive adoption of advocated solutions, aligned with supplier partners, that cater to customer needs and drive increased design activity, design wins, and sales growth.
  • Provide valuable participation in supplier/customer design reviews and deliver product level sales training to the sales team, proactively supporting business development efforts.
  • Identify and track significant design opportunities from concept to production, leveraging supplier resources to maximize potential for success.
  • Create compelling presentations and sales tools to enhance technical value and establish yourself as a "trusted advisor" to both internal and external customers.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from inception to completion, collaborating closely with customers, sales, and vendors.
  • Conduct research on major industry players to stay informed on industry trends and directions, effectively communicating this knowledge to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design comprehensive solutions based on customer expectations of product performance, lifecycles, and total costs.
  • Attend internal and external technical training to maintain certification and stay updated on the latest industry developments.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in the semiconductor industry as a Field Applications Engineer or a similar technical sales role.
  • Strong technical acumen and a deep understanding of semiconductor products, technologies, and design processes.
  • Proactive with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with technical decision makers and influencers.
  • Proficiency in providing technical sales training and aligning with sales teams to secure business.
