A leading healthcare facility in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Executive to facilitate quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Science or Nursing, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant roles. Responsibilities include coordinating quality improvement projects, conducting incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Candidates with a clinical background are preferred, and strong English skills are a must. This position is located in Penang, Malaysia.

Perform, coordinate & facilitate quality improvement, patient safety activities and clinical effectiveness initiatives to achieve organizational goals. This involves performing the assessment and analysis of operations and processes and working collaboratively with staff and managers to promote, design and implement quality improvements and innovations.
Works to promote quality improvement and innovation and monitor progress towards goals by collecting accurate, timely data to display the quality, cost and service outcome.
Maintains accountability for on-going self-development activities, especially related to presentation facilitation, change management and application of quality improvement activities
Administer hospital-wide incident reporting, review all incidents to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented, incidents are graded and learning is communicated
Perform investigation of incident using tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify the root causes of the incident and prevent recurrence.
To consolidate reports and to summarize issues and remedial actions that has been carried out. Reports may need to be communicated to relevant Heads
To be well verse of identifying sentinel event if there is any and report to the superior immediately and conduct full RCA
Report to MOH for the particular MOH reportable incidents
Help, lead, guide and advise Head of Department in the requirement of accreditation, standards such as Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), Joint Commission International (JCI), The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and etc
Provides content knowledge in the interpretation, implementation and maintenance of all accreditation, national quality assurance standards or regulatory standards to match external requirements.
Co-ordinate the captured data and analyses clinical information from a variety of internal and external sources relating to patient safety, utilization of resources, system problems, and other quality functions
Identifies trends, variances, deficiencies, and problems utilizing aggregated data and information and works with multidisciplinary teams on improvement efforts
Liaises with respective department heads to deliver quality improvement projects
Help to promote leadership for creating a culture of patient safety and works across departments to ensure compliance to accreditation standards, International Patient Safety Goals, and promotes Proactive Risk Management activities
Education Level: Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Nursing
Working Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
Required Skills: Understand / familiar with quality improvement tools, comprehend professionally in English
Candidates with a clinical background are preferred
