Senior Executive - Network & Infrastructure

Network & Infrastructure

• Plan, design and deploy new servers’ architecture and network equipment both on-premises and in the cloud environments.
• Configure, maintain, and upgrade the University’s infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, firewalls, router, switches, Wi‑Fi infrastructure and monitoring tools.
• Proactively monitor the University’s system and network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) to minimize service disruption and business impact.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery operations.
• ISP management, networking, routing, and switching.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Discover vulnerabilities and risks in networks, systems, and hardware through ongoing vulnerability scans and monitoring, ensure timely patching of hardware, systems, and applications.
• Review and ensure compliance of the University’s network and systems with IT security policies and standards.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity solutions (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM).
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches.
• Stay updated on current threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.

Support & Documentation

• Prompt resolution of IT infrastructure–related issue tickets.
• Maintain documentation of server infrastructure, network configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, RHCSA, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, CISSP or higher are an advantage.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing IT Network and Infrastructure; experience in the education industry is preferred.
• Proven experience in a network and infrastructure administrator role.
• Hand-on experience with Windows Servers and various Linux distributions.
• Hand-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, HYPER-V, H3C CAS or other Hypervisor operation and maintenance.
• Hand-on experience with Firewall, Core Switches, Access switches, WiFi Controllers and various network infrastructure configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud infrastructure (MS Azure, Alicloud, Huawei Cloud) – including design, setup, and administration.
• Hand- on experience in enterprise backup solutions and disaster recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is an added advantage for communication with a Chinese‑speaking user base.
