Senior Executive (GIS & Project Management)

Lead and manage GIS related projects, ensuring timely delivery and supporting data collection, analysis, and map creation. Perform GIS & spatial data analysis to produce maps, reports, dashboards and visualizations. Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution. Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and presentations for clients and management. Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy and consistency of GIS databases. Support clients and internal teams by gathering project requirements, developing GIS solutions and presenting findings. Provide technical support and training on GIS tools, software and applications. Troubleshoot GIS software, hardware, and data issues to ensure operational continuity. Stay updated on new GIS technologies, tools and industry trends to enhance project delivery. Collaborate with teams to ensure GIS products and services are in line with market needs. Assist in client engagement, relationship management, and understanding geospatial requirements. Perform other duties assigned by management, as necessary.

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Geography, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in GIS, spatial analysis, or related field; exposure to project management is preferred.
• Proven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholders’ communication.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data management tools.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and visualize spatial data effectively.
• Exposure to GIS project management and working with clients or stakeholders is a plus.
• Knowledge of remote sensing, drone data collection and processing and database management is an advantage.
• Programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) or web-based GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Google Earth Engine, or other open-source platform) is an added advantage.
• Familiar with MS1759 Malaysian Standard Geographic Information / Geomatics Feature and Attribute Code is an advantage.
