A property development company based in Sungai Petani, Kedah, seeks an Accounts and Finance Executive to prepare monthly management accounts, maintain the general ledger, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate should possess a Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, and have at least 3 years of experience in finance, preferably within the property sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for this role, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Prepare monthly management accounts, schedules, and reconciliations
Maintain accurate general ledger, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions
Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation for approvals
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g. SST, withholding tax, e-invoicing).
Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules
Monitor project costs against approved budgets and contract values, track cost variations, change orders and claims
Monitor cash flow and support project cash planning.
Guide and review work of junior finance staff
Possess a Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably within the property development sector.
Experience in Accounting (exposure to real estate/property industry will be an added advantage).
Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
Committed, analytical, meticulous, accountable and reliable.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, efficient time management skills.
Willing to be based in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
