ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Senior Executive, Corporate Communications supports the execution of communication initiatives to enhance the organisation’s visibility, reputation, and brand presence. The role focuses on content creation, digital communication, media coordination, branding compliance, and event communication support. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused position that ensures timely and high-quality delivery of all communication and event outputs.

KEY REPONSIBILITIES
a) Corporate & Editorial Communications
  • Draft and edit speeches, press releases, talking points, event scripts, articles, corporate decks, and communication kits.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all communication materials.
b) Media Coordination
  • Coordinate press releases, interviews, media invitations, and media kits.
  • Maintain and update media lists.
  • Conduct daily/weekly media monitoring and prepare coverage summaries.
c) Digital & Content Development
  • Produce and manage content for digital platforms including LinkedIn, website updates, newsletters, videos, and infographics.
  • Manage content calendars and schedule postings.
  • Liaise with designers and multimedia vendors for creative materials.
d) Branding & Corporate Identity
  • Ensure adherence to corporate identity (CI) guidelines across all materials.
  • Update branding templates, assets, and event collaterals when required.
e) Event Management
  • Provide operational support for corporate events, exhibitions, forums, conferences, and programmes.
  • Prepare event communication materials including scripts, run‑downs, speeches, and programme books.
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors, venues, suppliers, crew, and other involved parties.
  • Support guest management, registration, stage management, and on‑ground flow.
  • Prepare post‑event write‑ups and assist with post‑event documentation.
f) Issues & Crisis Communication Support
  • Assist in drafting holding statements, FAQs, and monitoring emerging issues.
  • Maintain updated crisis documentation and assist in rapid response preparations.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
Experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in corporate communications, PR, media, or event coordination.
  • Experience supporting corporate events is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong writing skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation and basic design tools (Canva/Adobe).
  • Strong organisational and event coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
