The Senior Executive /Assistant Manager for Outreach & Partnership is responsible for strengthening CityU's strategic engagement with industries, government bodies, professional associations, and corporate partners. This role supports the University's mission to be Malaysia's Talent Engine by driving collaborations, enhancing student employability, and increasing industry visibility across faculties.

Key Responsibilities
1. Industry Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Identify and develop new partnerships with industries, corporations, NGOs, agencies, and professional bodies.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing partners through structured engagement and follow-up.
  • Represent the university in external meetings, industry networking events, and strategic dialogues.
  • Prepare proposals, partnership briefs, presentations, and official documents.
2. Internship, Career Pathways & Employability Support
  • Work closely with employers to secure internship and job opportunities for students.
  • Support faculties in designing industry-driven learning activities, guest lectures, and professional exposure programmes.
  • Coordinate site visits, briefings, and student—industry engagement activities.
3. Public Relations, Branding & Communication
  • Act as a front-facing representative for CityU, projecting a professional and approachable image.
  • Support PR initiatives including media presence, event publicity, corporate messaging, and industry-related announcements.
  • Prepare talking points, reports, and communication materials for senior management.
4. Event Management & Industry Programmes
  • Plan and execute industry-focused events such as talks, roundtables, career fairs, industry showcases, and MoU/MoA ceremonies.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of VIP engagements, including protocols, event flow, and hospitality.
  • Work with faculties to deliver impactful, industry-relevant activities across campuses.
5. Reporting & Administrative Management
  • Maintain accurate partnership databases and engagement trackers.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, partnership outcome summaries, and KPI updates.
  • Assist in monitoring progress of MoUs/MoAs to ensure active collaborations.
Academic Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Education Management, or related fields.

Work Experience
  • Senior Executive: Minimum 3 years experience in industry relations, corporate relations, PR, business development, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Assistant Manager: Minimum 5 years experience with demonstrated leadership, project ownership, and partnership-building capabilities.
  • Experience in higher education or a corporate external-relations role is an advantage.
