Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Data Scientist to assist in the design and deployment of AI and machine learning models. You will analyze large datasets, work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to integrate AI solutions, and monitor model performance. The ideal candidate must have a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in data science, with expertise in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks. Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning models to support business decision-making

Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that drive business growth and efficiency

Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI solutions into Exitra’s SaaS and cloud platforms.

Monitor and optimize model performance, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and reliability

Develop and maintain a robust data infrastructure and ensure data quality, consistency, and security.

Provide thought leadership and strategic direction in data science and AI across the organization.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science.

Communicate findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders through reports and presentations

Performs any duties assigned by superiors from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, preferably in a SaaS or cloud-based environment
• Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc)
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, data mining, and predictive analytics
• Proven ability to work with large datasets and implement data pipelines
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and cloud architectures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is not a must but will be an added advantage.
