Job Summary

Job Summary:The Senior Executive - Accounts will support the Finance & Accounting department in executing various financial activities to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations. The role involves handling end-to-end accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements to facilitate the company's financial integrity and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full set of accounts, including accrued expenses and prepayments, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare management reports, conduct variance analysis, and compile financial statements.
  • Review and prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and maintain accounting schedules.
  • Oversee and prepare accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare and review weekly cashbooks, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.
  • Review and enhance internal control processes and accounting procedures for improved efficiency.
  • Supervise and guide junior finance staff in daily accounting tasks.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents on finance-related matters to ensure compliance and smooth audit processes.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping and documentation to support audit and reporting activities.
  • Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis, cost control initiatives, and business planning.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in retail or healthcare industries is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems such as GP/SQL.
