Job summary

A leading financial services company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Executive Account to handle the complete accounts and oversee financial reporting. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for professional qualifications. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and strong analytical skills. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations and managing junior finance staff. Senior Executive Account (GL & Reporting)

Handle full set of accounts, including preparation of accurate and timely financial statements

Prepare month‑end closing entries and reconciliations

Maintain schedules and documentation required by auditors and statutory bodies

Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements (SST, e‑Invoicing, SSM, etc.)

Assist in annual budget preparation, monitoring, and budgetary control

Liaise with external parties including auditors, bankers, tax agents, consultants, and authorities

Prepare financial reports for Group Finance Manager for consolidation purposes

Ensure accounting processes and controls are executed in accordance with established SOPs

Oversee daily finance operations and supervise junior finance staff

Perform ad hoc finance-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / MIA) is highly preferred

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and general ledger functions

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, audit processes, and tax computation

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Good planning, organizational, and communication skills

Able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
