Job description

Coming on board as the Section Manager / Senior Engineer -Industrial Engineering (IE), you will be responsible for improving productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness across manufacturing operations by applying industrial engineering principles, optimizing processes, manpower planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in an EMS environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead productivity improvement initiatives across SMT and Assembly lines.
  • Establish and monitor labor efficiency, line balance.
  • Drive cycle time reduction and throughput improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct time studies and work measurement.
  • Optimize manpower allocation to meet production demand with minimal cost.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities related to labour, layout, material handling, and processes.
  • Support NPI cost estimation, RFQ, and capacity planning activities.
  • Improve factory layout for better flow, space utilization, and safety.
  • As the lead for the IE department, lead, mentor, and develop the Industrial Engineering team.
  • Set goals, monitor performance, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical / Manufacturing / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within EMS / Electronics Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT, Assembly, and Electronics Manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in line balancing, time study, capacity planning, and cost modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
