Job description

NuEnergy Holdings Berhad is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and is actively involved in the solar renewable energy business.

The company is expanding and we are now hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Senior Electrical Engineer (Based in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and review electrical design for solar PV, BESS, substations, and grid-connected power projects.
• Prepare and review SLDs, protection schemes, load flow, short-circuit, and equipment sizing calculations.
• Coordinate with consultants, EPC contractors, and internal project teams.
• Support authority submissions and approvals (TNB, ST, SEDA, local authorities).
• Provide technical input for tenders, value engineering, and cost optimization.
• Oversee site implementation, testing, commissioning, and energisation works.
• Review technical reports, drawings, method statements, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety requirements.

Requirement:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-7 years relevant experience in power systems, solar PV, BESS, or utility-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, protection coordination, and grid interconnection.
• Familiar with Malaysian authority requirements and industry standards.
• Able to work independently and lead technical discussions.
• Registered with BEM (PE/Ir./Ts. is an advantage).
• Candidate with building service consultant is an advantage
