A leading medical device company is looking for a qualified individual to manage supply chain operations in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves coordinating outbound shipments, conducting analytics, and maintaining master data. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of related experience, preferably in demand or order planning. Required skills include analytical abilities and proficiency in MS Office and SAP. The position offers opportunities for project management and efficiency improvement.
Coordinates and controls outbound shipment of sustaining and new products to main distribution centers. Works closely with GSC team and local logistics team to fulfill customer needs, business requirements, and service level objectives. Ensures optimal supply of product to all ship lanes and helps drive lead time improvement and performance by providing relevant information.
Computer and Systems Knowledge: Adequate understanding of Microsoft suite, proficiency in Excel, competent in BSC ERP and planning systems. Uses the planning system daily to perform demand planning activities.
Data Analytics: Ability to conduct detailed and complex analytics on business problems and datasets. Produces, retrieves and interprets reports using standard systems and tools.
KPI Monitoring: Provides projection of relevant KPIs including Service Level and Backorder. Monitors and tracks actual performance vs. plan periodically. Communicates priority and urgent requirements from GSC team to all relevant stakeholders. Collaborates with cross‑functional team to resolve topics/issues that could impact KPI.
Master Data Maintenance: Ensures relevant master data are complete and accurate for the products in their portfolio. Remains current on training for SOPs and work instructions regarding ERP and planning system master data.
Project Management: Initiates projects to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. Gains an understanding of dependencies and sequence of events. Executes required monthly/scheduled tasks with minimum supervision. May lead a project team of small to moderate scope.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any related field.
8 to 10 years of experience in related field.
Preferred: experience in product demand planning or customer order planning.
