Job summary

A prominent property development company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage tender processes, conduct site valuations, and prepare project budgets. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within a property development or consultancy setting and must be familiar with pre and post-contract administration. Job description

Request and update tenderers’ company details and information, prepare summary and organize tender committee for the pre-qualification exercise and prepare pre-q approval form and minutes for approval

Prepare tender documents and invite tenderers for tender exercise.

Check through tender documents prepared by consultant and comment accordingly.

During tender stage, prepare tender report and arrange for tender interview. Record and prepare tender interview

Prepare tender addendum if any

Prepare final tender submission documents and arrange for award confirmation

Prepare Letter of Award, award memo and tender committee meeting minutes for management approval

Prepare costing and advise Project Development Department (PD) for feasibility study exercise.

Prepare and update project tender schedule, project budget and award schedule for monitoring purposes.

Prepare yearly cashflow for project handled.

Participate in Value Engineering Exercise.

Post-Contract Stage

Attend site valuation, prepare progress claims and update progress payment history.

Verify consultant’s recommendation for progress claims and variation order.

Prepare variation order if any.

Attend site meeting based on site request basic.

Prepare final account.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.

At least 5 years working experience preferably Quantity Surveying in a Property Development / consultancy company.

Familiar with the entire pre and post contract administration flow.

Highly motivated, independent and able to work within tight datelines.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for entry level position.
