You are expected to provide 2nd level support and problem-solving expertise concerning complex technical issues of application, infrastructure, data processing, tools etc. to ensure that a robust, maintainable, high-quality, standards-compliant business applications software environment is developed and maintained. Ensures that all agreed targets, SLA and Metrics are met.

Demonstrate ownership of assigned events and incidents through to restoration and collaborate with other support teams within the organization and external suppliers. Maintains quality standards and policies. Identifies opportunities for improvement. Liaises with the development team to overcome known problems and fulfil user.

As a Senior Application Support Specialist, having proficient knowledge in MEAN Stack is a must. Very good knowledge of Cloud hosting in OpenShift, Containerization and CI/CD will also be an integral part of this role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science
  • 6 + years of experience in application support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work on permanent US shift
  • Proficiency in Open-Source MEAN stack (Priority of Node.js & MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with cloud containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices and tools like Git Actions, Jenkins etc.
  • Strong knowledge of handling production incidents, troubleshooting & resolving issues within SLA, providing solution to the problem tickets and managing changes
  • Familiarity with ITIL Practices, DevOps Tools, Cloud Certifications is a plus
  • You should work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure.
  • You can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.

I started my career at DHL IT Services back in 2018, when I took a role as Team Lead’s 1st position in DHL in the DGF-FCM team. Gaining more hands-on experience with field has always fascinated me. From there, I moved fast through the company ladder and soon landed a Manager’s 2nd position in DHL role. In 2022, I moved to a management role, being Manager’s for different product.
