- Lead investment analytics activities, encompassing data analysis, financial and market research, project coordination, and administrative support.
- Provide analytical support to the Management and internal stakeholders for portfolio performance evaluation against benchmarks and asset allocation strategies.
- Design reporting frameworks and analytical models to deliver data‑driven insights that support investment decision‑making and performance evaluation.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient reporting of investment data.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment Data Analytics
- Conduct daily and periodic portfolio performance reviews and prepare analytical reports on portfolio performance and investment indicators.
- Design, define and maintain interactive dashboard layouts and reporting specifications, ensuring alignment with business needs and user experience standards.
- Ensure analytics initiatives align with organizational investment objectives and risk management strategies.
- Analyze financial data, market trends, and economic indicators to provide actionable insights for investment decisions.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements, internal frameworks, and financial reporting standards.
- Validate and manage data accuracy and integrity from internal systems and external sources.
Projects and Process improvement
- Partner with the Investment Departments and Digital Technology Departments to enhance analytics processes and reporting automation.
- Coordinate investment analytics projects to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Drive initiatives for process optimization, automation, and implementation of best practices in investment operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Investment, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Actual Science, Financial Engineering, Data Analytics or related field recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
- Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Data Analytics credentials are an added advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in investment analytics, performance reporting, financial data analysis, or portfolio management within asset management, fund management, or financial institutions.
- Malaysian citizen.
- Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of investment instruments (e.g., equities, fixed income, private markets, derivatives), financial markets, portfolio performance metrics, risk and valuation concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), with experience in data visualization and automated reporting.
- Familiarity with VBA, SQL, Python, or other data tools is an advantage.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions with keen attention to detail.
- Proactive and self‑motivated, with strong discipline and adaptability to new technologies.
- Able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks effectively, including setting clear timelines and managing resources efficiently.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
