Job summary

A reputable financial services provider in Malaysia is looking for a Senior Accounts Executive. The role involves managing complete accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Payable, and General Ledger, along with preparing financial reports and supporting strategic business decisions. Candidates should have at least 4 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, hold a degree in Accounting or Finance, and possess strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Mandarin is preferred.

  • Background in audit and financial reporting is highly desirable.

The Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial reports, analyzing data to support business decisions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in financial reporting, with strong technical proficiency and communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights that support strategic business decisions.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely financial record‑keeping.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial information, analysis, and support.
  • Ensure with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency.
  • Handle bank reconciliations, accounts receivables, payables, and other management reporting tasks.
  • Perform other accounting or finance‑related ad‑hoc tasks as assigned to support business needs.
