A leading retail company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain financial records and reporting. About the role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the company's financial records and reporting. This full-time position is based in Puchong, Selangor, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the organisation.

What you\'ll be doing

Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and variance analysis

Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and credit management

Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and internal controls

Provide financial analysis and insights to the management team to support strategic planning

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.

Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

Any other duties and ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

What we\'re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior accounting role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.

Excellent financial reporting and analysis skills, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and best practices

Proficient in using accounting software and data analysis tools

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
