A leading foodstuff company in Puchong, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive responsible for comprehensive accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of experience in retail accounting, a degree in Accounting or a professional qualification like ACCA or CPA. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for liaising with clients. This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for full spectrum of accounting functions

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly closing of accounts

Review and analyse monthly financial performance

Manage cashflow and funding requirements

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations and other regulatory requirements.

Reconciliation of the intercompany accounts, bank reconciliation, posting and balancing.

Liaise with auditors and tax agent

Assist in any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned

Qualifications

At least 4-5 Year(s) of working experience in retails accounting.

Degree in Accounting or professional qualification in ACCA, CPA or equivalent (Preferably MIA member).

Familiar with accounting standards, tax regulations, and filling procedure.

Excellent math skills and ability to spot numerical errors.

Organization and multi-tasking skills.

Possesses initiative and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, essential for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
