Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our finance team at BACCUS SDN BHD. In this full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor, you will play a key role in providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting support to our growing organisation. What you'll be doing

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, accounts, and statements in compliance with accounting standards and policies
• Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decision-making
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of reports and presentations
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as the finance team and department heads, to provide financial information and advice
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices
• Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare and manage monthly payments, invoices, and receipts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in audit matters by preparing audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and banks.
• Support ad‑hoc accounting and finance‑related assignments assigned by management

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role, preferably in the Financial Accounting & Reporting industry
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment
