Role Description

A Security Guard is responsible for safeguarding company property, staff, and visitors by monitoring premises, controlling access, conducting patrols, and reporting any suspicious activity or security breaches. The role ensures a safe and secure working environment at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide general security works according to security guidelines.
• Control, record and check the movement of person/vehicles going in and out of premises.
• Check all outgoing vehicles and ensure no company properties are brought out without a formal document, to prevent any unauthorized items carry out from the company premises.
• Check all delivery orders with the actual on vehicle in and out of the premises and ensure it is tally, to prevent any unauthorized items carry out from the company premises.
• Control traffic and vehicles parking to ensure proper parking management.
• Verify and inform MAC person in charge on the arrival of visitors at MAC before allowing the visitors to enter MAC.
• Remind and ensure everyone that enters MAC plant side to wear safety shoes, safety helmet and adhere to all safety rules.
• Daily patrolling and perform clocking on the patrol check point clocking system to ensure the whole premise security is safe.
• Open the main office doors before start of office hours and lock properly after end of office hours.
• Always guard the premise main entrance gate at a visible area when the gate is open and close the premise main entrance gate properly when no vehicles.
• Safekeeping of office, store and emergency gate's keys.
• Weekly testing and checking on the condition of emergency gate to ensure the emergency gate not blocked and can be open smoothly in any case of emergency.
• Weekly cleaning on guardhouse and its surrounding areas to ensure the cleanliness.
• Report any potential hazards, incidents and/or damages to ensure workplace safety.
• Strive to achieve security KPI: To achieve zero (0) theft, burglary or pilferage.
• Assist in enforcement of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
• Comply and follow all ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards and procedure.
• Adhere to all OSH regulations.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by superior.
