About the role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Art with the ability to teach both Art and Graphics at KS3 and KS4, as well as to teach to A Level standard in at least Art. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and use innovative teaching practices to enhance our students’ experiences and outcomes.
About the department
We are a dynamic team of four experienced Art and Graphics teachers, with a mix of international and UK teaching backgrounds. The department boasts dedicated classrooms for art and graphics, a photography studio, and an A‑level art room fully equipped with traditional materials and Adobe Creative Cloud access. Students enjoy weekly Art and Graphics lessons at Key Stage 3, with options to specialise in either Art, Craft & Design or Graphic Design at GCSE and A‑level.
Key Requirements for the Head of Art position
About you
You have a university degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. You are receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers. You are a strong ambassador for the school, able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement and personal investment within the classroom. You will also be able to meet visa‑related requirements for Malaysia.
