As a DEMQRA RMA Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and tracking electrical characterization and failure analysis (FA) of customer-returned products, as well as qualification and reliability failures. Your role includes identifying root causes, implementing containment plans, and coordinating corrective actions across engineering and manufacturing teams. You will also communicate FA results to customers and internal stakeholders while maintaining a strong understanding of DRAM functionality, processes, and device characteristics.
Manage Failure Analysis (FA) for Customer and Qualification Concerns
Understand customer or qualification complaints related to DRAM components or modules.
Initiate contact with customers or internal representatives to clarify failing conditions.
Coordinate bench‑level, system‑level, and ATE‑level analysis; interpret results.
Coordinate detailed electrical (EFA or equivalent experience) and physical (PFA) component‑level analysis.
Examine previous test outcomes and modify parameters to detect failure sensitivities.
Perform visual inspections and use schematics/layouts to detect abnormalities.
Document failed conditions, categorize electrical failures, and communicate findings.
Coordinate next‑level analysis with teams such as C‑SAM, PYE, Product Engineering, Package Reliability, and AQL.
Provide FA support for other groups (RMA, Module).
Determine engineering test requirements and complete experiments.
Summarize test outcomes and offer feedback.
Review feedback and corrective actions from manufacturing teams.
Translate technical results into customer‑friendly reports.
Analyze data for trends and communicate process improvements.
Summarize RMA background and FA results.
Identify root causes, containment plans, and associated risk assessments.
Prepare interim and final FA reports; provide ongoing customer support.
Stay current on process technology and associated risks.
Understand datasheet specifications and common DRAM applications.
Collaborate with field support teams for customer insights.
Assist lab users with equipment setup and operation.
Conduct on‑the‑job training (OJT) for new hires and transfers.
Interpret data, suggest root causes, and recommend further analysis.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Physics/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Excel/JMP for data analysis (advantageous).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
