A leading agricultural solutions company in Selangor is seeking a Technical Sales Support professional to assist with customer inquiries and provide technical guidance during the sales process. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in technical sales support, preferably within the prefab building solutions or poultry equipment sectors. This role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams to meet sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Assist the equipment sales team by providing technical information, product specifications, and support during the sales process.

Provide presentations of building solutions to customers, highlighting technical features and benefits.

Respond to customer inquiries related to technical aspects of building solutions.

Generate quotes, proposals, and other sales documentation based on customer requirements.

Take ownership of fulfilling sales target expectations.

Work closely with the engineering, procurement and customer service team to ensure value engineering of prefab building solutions.

Project Coordination:
Coordinate closely with the internal teams (sales, engineering, order management, project management and customer service) to ensure deliverables are met.

Offer post-sale technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that may arise.

Follow up with customer service team to ensure proper installation and integration of products prior to handover.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of prefab building solutions including integration of ventilation system and poultry keeping equipment.

Stay up-to-date with new product features, updates, and trends in the industry to provide informed support.

Able to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues or concerns related to building design.

Provide technical training and guidance to the sales team to help them understand the product capabilities and competitive advantages.

Assist in creating sales materials, such as presentations, datasheets, and case studies, to support the sales process.

Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to increase market share as well as fill in the gaps in different countries and across different business units.

Work with the engineering team to communicate customer needs and feature requests in drawing presentations and proposals.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years in a technical sales support or customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience in prefab building solutions/poultry keeping equipment is often preferred.
  • Strong understanding of prefab building solutions preferably in the livestock industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, systems, and technologies used in the sales and support process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts in an easily understandable way.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
