A leading sales organization in Klang City is seeking a Sales Team Leader to build and manage the Malaysia sales team. The ideal candidate will develop strategies for achieving sales goals, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain key client relationships. Requirements include at least 5 years of sales experience and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Candidates should be proficient in Chinese, Malay, and have a strong command of sales management skills. This position offers the opportunity to drive market expansion and lead a motivated team.
Fully responsible for building, managing, training, and motivating the Malaysia sales team, leading the team to achieve overall sales goals and market expansion targets set by the company.
Develop and execute regional sales strategies, action plans, and budgets; lead negotiations and contract signing for key clients and major projects.
Personally participate in and guide team members on field visits, cold calls, and other market development activities; lead by example and empower team members to enhance their sales and client acquisition skills.
Track, analyze, and evaluate team sales performance; conduct regular performance reviews and sales data analysis to identify issues and propose effective improvement plans.
Maintain long‑term strategic relationships with key clients and important business partners; handle major client complaints and emergencies.
Conduct in‑depth market research and analyze industry trends and competition to provide decision‑making support for headquarters’ product and market strategies.
Coordinate cross‑departmental collaboration with the parent company in China and internal teams (such as administration, logistics, and technical support) to ensure smooth and efficient processes from sales to delivery.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields.
Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years in sales team management. Experience in building a team from scratch or developing a new market is highly preferred. Background in industrial products, manufacturing, or B2B sales is an advantage, with familiarity in field sales/cold‑calling models.
Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and Malay; able to act as the main bridge between the headquarters and local clients. Proficiency in English as a working language is an added advantage.
Skills: Strong mastery of sales management and team motivation techniques; excellent market planning, data analysis, and decision‑making skills; proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office for management and reporting.
