Job summary

A company in construction materials is seeking a sales-focused individual to manage client accounts across various categories in Sabah, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting products and solutions, managing account renewals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in a relevant field, with at least 3 years of experience preferred. Proficiency in sales techniques and English communication are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in construction/building material or site-related projects.
  • Possess your own vehicle and a valid driving licence.
  • Proficient in English language both oral & written with good presentation skills.

Job description

You need to maintain and grow the customer base across various categories using effective sales techniques, including prospecting, account qualifying, and follow-up, to meet or exceed sales goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage end to end account activities and processes.
  • Proactive promoting and selling of products, services and solutions.
  • Analyze, manage account renewal process, and resolve client queries.
  • Develop, maintain and review customer requirements.
  • Work closely with internal and/or external stakeholders to resolve any customer complaints or clarification.
  • Follow closely on all account management plans to meet business objectives including delivering presentations to external and/or internal audiences.
  • Follow up on transactions, payments, invoicing, and remittance from customers.
  • Able to influence and negotiate with key relevant parties to create strong product/services presence in the market.
  • Ensure adherence to all Company principles, policies, local legal and company OHSE and safety practices.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or any related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction/building material or site related project would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP system.
  • Possess your own vehicle and a valid driving licence.
  • Passionate, good interpersonal skills, good follow up skills and most importantly a go-getter.
  • Proficient in English language both oral & written with good presentation skills.
