Job summary

A waste management company in Penang is seeking a Business Development Executive responsible for developing strategic business and marketing plans for waste collection. Job description

The Business Development Executive is responsible for developing and implementing strategic business and marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives, specifically for scheduled waste collection. The role also focuses on establishing strong relationships with customers and suppliers, as well as identifying new business opportunities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To serve HQ, branch and own customers in timely manner.

To ensure customer’s Total Waste Generator (TWG) & other Department of Environment (DOE) requirements are met.

To ensure Automotive and Industry segment are well covered in the assigned region.

To prepare quotation and all other related documents relevantly required.

To arrange and work closely with branch logistics team for Scheduled Waste (SW) collection.

To participate in corporate tender for SW/Used oils collection.

To achieve and exceed department sales and GP target for the assigned area.

To ensure timely payment from customers and further improve overall debtor days in line with company target.

To maintain good rapport with and working relationships with all customers.

To monitor competitor’s movement and report to management on regular basis.

To prepare and submit daily reports for Business Development and prospecting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least a SPM / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business or equivalent.

Experienced of Sales/ Marketing/ Business Development in FMCG/ Automotive/ Manufacturing/ Oil & Gas industry will be an added advantage.

Good communication and presentation skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal. Able to communicate in Mandarin is added advantage.

Must be self-motivated to find new leads i.e. scheduled waste generators and establish close relationships with them.

Possess good interpersonal skills and able to establish good relationship with people of all levels.

Must have own transport and willing to travel for work purposes.
