Job Title: Sales Engineer / Sales Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in Datacomm and ELV solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, consultants, contractors, and partners.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and solution presentations.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and gross margin objectives.
- Participate in tender submissions, RFQs, RFPs, and project negotiations.
Technical & Solution Support
- Understand customer technical requirements and propose suitable Datacomm and ELV solutions.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to develop technical solutions and BOMs.
- Support pre-sales activities including site surveys, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations.
- Provide basic technical clarification on products and systems during sales engagements.
Datacomm & ELV Scope
- Structured cabling systems (Copper & Fiber – SM/MM)
- Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, switches, routers)
- Data center infrastructure (racks, cabling, containment, UPS – advantage)
- ELV systems including:
- CCTV & Video Surveillance
- Access Control & Time Attendance
- IP Telephony & IP PBX
- Public Address & Intercom Systems
- Building Management / Smart Building solutions (advantage)
Account & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams for project costing, delivery, and implementation.
- Monitor project progress and support post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate sales records, pipelines, and forecasts.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and after-sales engagement with customers.
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, competitors, and market pricing.
- Attend product training, technical workshops, and vendor briefings when required.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical) or equivalent.
Experience
- Sales Executive: Minimum 1–3 years of sales experience in Datacomm / ELV / ICT industry.
- Sales Engineer: Minimum 3–5 years of experience with strong technical exposure in Datacomm and ELV solutions.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic to good understanding of Datacomm and ELV systems.
- Ability to read and understand network diagrams, system architecture, and technical specifications.
- Experience with system integration projects is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Other Requirements
- Possess own transport and willing to travel when required.
- Willing to support site visits, meetings, and project discussions.
Preferred (Added Advantage)
- Experience dealing with consultants, developers, and government projects.
- Familiarity with major Datacomm & ELV brands and standards.
- Knowledge of tender documentation and contract requirements.
