Overview

Position Summary

This role will be responsible for building a direct customer contact base in Southeast Asia (SEA) and will manage direct accounts as well as distributors within same territory. Ideal candidate will reside in either: (1) Malaysia (MYS, (2) Singapore (SG) or the (3) Philippines. Other countries in SEA may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities
  • Sales budget responsibility and accountability for SEA (Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines)
  • Responsible for the management of the distributor base as well as managing and enhancing the key accounts base
  • Maximize profitability and manage cost
  • Daily communication on new and existing prospects/clients of distributor or direct customers, assist/lead in tech and commercial discussions
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of their time to visit both existing and new clients, either together with distributor or alone
  • Manage all international or local key accounts (relationship/project level) based in the SEA
  • Initiate new client relationships within industry and manage project to fruition
  • Create and manage an overall market operation plan
  • BDM is the lead communicator to Marketing for all local initiatives
Requirements
  • Tertiary education in Nutra & or Food manufacturing discipline or Business Management or both
  • Extensive experience in functional ingredients
  • Min 10 years Industry experience in similar role
  • Familiar with Nutra & Food customer base, multi level contacts within industry
  • Sound understanding of the SEA regulatory landscape
  • Strong project management expertise and proven ability to close deals
  • Strong analytical and market planning abilities
  • Proficient in English, MS office & CRM applications
  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as developed leadership skills
  • Must be permitted to work in the country of residence
  • Ability to travel over 50%
