Location: Village Grocer, Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru Department: Fresh Produce (Fruits & Vegetables)

Role Overview

As a Sales Assistant in the Fruits & Vegetables section, you’ll be the face of freshness at Village Grocer. Your role is to ensure that our produce is beautifully displayed, well‑stocked, and handled with care — while delivering friendly and knowledgeable service to every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain attractive and hygienic displays of fruits and vegetables
• Monitor product freshness and quality; remove damaged or expired items
• Assist customers with product selection and provide recommendations
• Prior experience in retail or fresh produce handling is an advantage
• Friendly, proactive, and customer‑focused attitude
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and lift moderate weights
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Replenish stock and rotate items to ensure optimal shelf life
• Handle weighing, pricing, and packaging of produce
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the department
• Support inventory checks and assist in receiving deliveries
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales and service goals
