Job summary

A well-known proofreading company in Cyberjaya is seeking a full-time sales representative with strong communication skills in English and Malay. The role involves maintaining after-sales relationships, preparing invoices, and identifying sales opportunities. Ideal candidates have a diploma or higher and experience in sales. Microsoft Excel skills are a huge advantage. Work hours are Monday to Saturday, 8.30 am to 6.30 pm. Salary ranges from RM 1,700 to RM 2,800, negotiable based on experience.

Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Sales experience via email and phone (NO WORK FROM HOME)
  2. More specifically (PO, LO, sales, client request, maintaining an after‑sales relationship with the clients, follow‑up, upsell)
  3. Prepare quotation/invoice/receipt for clients
  4. Base knowledge in academia, proofreading, and paraphrasing would be great.
  5. Be part of the sales team in identifying opportunities with new and existing clients
  6. Handling internal after‑sales process (full process)
  7. Updating and maintaining the company database in an orderly manner
  8. Ad‑hoc task related to sales
  9. Cold calling tasks
Requirements
  1. Open for diploma/degree/master's holders. If you have a fear of talking on the phone, then it won't be suitable!
  2. Knowledge in Postgraduate Research Journey and research Framework (Master's and PhD)—ADDED ADVANTAGE
  3. Excellent communication skills in English and Malay (both in writing and conversation)
  4. Able to deliver exceptional customer service
  5. Knowledge in SCOPUS and WoS—ADDED ADVANTAGE
  6. Microsoft Excel pro‑level skills would be a HUGE advantage.
  7. NO PERSONAL PHONE USAGE during WORKING HOURS. A business phone will be given, and family members can be contacted for emergencies. So if you are a phone addict, it won't be suitable.
  8. Highly organized and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
  9. Problem‑solving and ability to use one's own initiative
  10. Strong Social and Communication Skills. If you are very sensitive to criticism, do not apply.
Salary

RM 1,700 to RM 2,800 (NEGOTIABLE based on your experiences)
