Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee safety programs at power plant sites. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of offshore safety supervision experience and be registered with DOSH. Responsibilities include conducting safety training, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and providing safety reports. This position is contract-based for one year, renewable depending on project needs. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of safety programs, policies, and procedures at power plant sites to ensure a high standard of workplace health and safety.Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all personnel, including employees, contractors, and visitors involved in the projectli>
  • Ensure that all work activities comply with health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and related Malaysian laws.
  • Provide regular safety reports to management, highlighting safety performance, areas of improvement, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Manage safety supervision for the Offshore areas and all related project activities.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees and contractors, ensuring that safety procedures and emergency protocols are understood and followed.
  • Deliver professional safety inductions and ongoing safety awareness programs for all new site personnel and visitors.
Job Requirements
  • Must be able to join immediately by early January 2026.
  • Having registered with Department of Occupational Safety Health (DOSH) and yellow book holder.
  • At least 10 years’ experience as Safety Supervisor in Offshore.
  • Having the Lifting Supervisor Certificate and Machinery Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and safety training sessions.
  • Attention to detail, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly in emergency situations.
  • Contract basis for One year (January – December 2026). Renewable if work period extended.
