A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Safety Manager to oversee safety management on construction projects. The ideal candidate has a degree in construction, at least 5 years of experience in the field, and holds relevant safety certifications. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, preparing safety management plans, and leading training activities. Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
Familiar with the Production Safety Law and local safety laws and regulations in Malaysia.
Good knowledge of relevant standards such as "JGJ59-2011 Construction Safety Inspection Standards" and "JGJ46-2005 Technical Specifications for Temporary Electricity Safety at Construction Sites".
Good knowledge of corporate management standards such as the "Three Standards-Safety Management" of the Branch Engineering Bureau, the "Project Safety Management Implementation Manual" of the Malaysian Company, and the "Standardized Atlas of Safe and Civilized Construction of the Malaysian Company".
Familiar with the project engineering overview, identify project safety risks and prevention and control measures, and be able to cooperate in the preparation of the "Project Safety Management Plan".
Familiar with the safety responsibilities of each position and be able to take the lead in conducting assessments.
Familiar with and master the standards for carrying out project safety education and training work and be able to independently or cooperate with the project safety officer in safety education, and cooperate in carrying out project pre-shift announcements, weekly safety training and special safety training activities.
Familiar with the standards for project safety inspections, be able to independently carry out daily safety inspections, cooperate with weekly project safety inspections and special safety inspections, be able to comprehensively identify potential hazards on the project site, and be able to put forward targeted rectification suggestions.
Understand the standards for safety management activities such as "Special Rectification Actions" and "Special Improvement of Team Leaders' Safety Management Capabilities" carried out by the branch, and fully implement them within the scope of the project.
Understand the requirements of international and domestic safety excellence standards and lead projects to carry out safety excellence work.
