SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER (SHO) – CONSTRUCTION / ACMV

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Safety & Health Officer to oversee and implement health and safety practices across project sites. This position requires strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations, risk assessment, and site safety management. Candidates must have relevant construction experience, preferably in ACMV services, and hold a valid Green Book.

Daily Duties / Tasks

• Submit monthly EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) reports.
• Monitor workplace health and safety conditions, assess risks, and develop strategies to minimize potential hazards within the assigned site or area.
• Conduct regular site inspections to check machinery, equipment, and work processes for compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures, policies, and statutory requirements.
• Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, near-miss incidents, and work-related illnesses.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain incident and accident reports with corrective and preventive recommendations.
• Monitor and observe workers to ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Promote safety awareness and observe professional ethics at all times.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum SPM / SPMV / MCE / STPM / Diploma / Degree or equivalent.
• Must be a registered Green Book holder.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the construction industry, preferably in ACMV services.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Strong decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
