A leading construction firm in Malaysia is hiring a Safety & Health Officer to oversee safety and health practices at construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include developing safety policies, liaising with authorities, conducting safety inductions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Provide advice, guidance on safety and hygiene practices at construction site.
Responsible for development and implementation of project safety and health policy.
Liaison with relevant safety enforcement authorities.
Responsible for compliance to authority requirement on safety matters.
Submit a monthly report to Project Manager on occupational health and safety at workplace.
Conducting safety induction to all workers at site and instilling safety awareness to all personnel.
To identify high risk area and potential safety hazardous.
Construction sequence and take measures to mitigate the risk.
Assist in the investigation of incidents occurred and submit reports to management where necessary
To assist any officer in carrying out his duties under the Act or any Regulations made under the Act.
Requirements:
Bachelors/ Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment or related field.
Minimum 5+ years as a Safety & Health Officer at construction site.
Competent Safety & Health Officer registered with DOSH.
Data Center construction experience is a Plus.
Strong analytical and communications skill
