Overview
We are seeking a highly responsible and experienced Safety & Security Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety, security, and risk management within the resort. This role ensures the protection of guests, employees, assets, and property while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans for the resort.
- Oversee daily security operations, including surveillance, access control, patrols, and incident response.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and resort safety standards, including fire safety, occupational health & safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits of resort facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead, train, and manage the security team to ensure professionalism, readiness, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures for incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, or security threats.
- Collaborate with resort management and department heads to align safety and security strategies with operational needs.
- Investigate security incidents, accidents, or violations and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Liaise with local authorities, police, fire department, and emergency services when necessary.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among staff and guests through training and communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Safety & Security Manager or similar role within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response, fire safety systems, and loss prevention.
- Experience managing security personnel and coordinating large-scale operations in a 24/7 environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays as required.
- Proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills (Mandarin is a plus).
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety certification are highly preferred.
