Risk Management, Loan Monitoring & Recovery Contract Executive (Fresh Graduate)

Job Purpose
Responsible for the management of Impaired Loans (IL) and monitor watchlist accounts and to assess the Bank’s adequacy in provisioning for loan impairment and problematic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of retail and corporate impaired loans and determine the effective rehabilitation/recovery including initiating end-to-end legal proceedings with the guidance of Team Leader.
- Monitor watchlist accounts i.e. Early Care and Special Mention account by conducting monthly Loan Quality Management Committee Meeting (LQMC) and proactively involve in early intervention/recovery actions. Also act as the Assistant Secretariat for LQMC.
- Assess the Bank’s adequacy in provisioning for loan impairment and problematic accounts by conducting impairment assessment on monthly basis and ad hoc basis.
- Prepare proposals for debt restructuring, settlement proposal and various action plans for Management’s approval and ensuring the prompt implementation of the approved action plan with the guidance of Team Leader.
- Assist Team Leader in keeping abreast with the latest industry/corporate developments and regulatory requirement to promptly review the bank wide asset recovery strategies and assess the risk implications on the asset quality of the Bank.
- Maintain and develop effective and professional working relationship with external and internal parties such as Business Units, Liquidators, solicitors, independent advisors, valuers and others.
- Timely and accurate completion of various internal and regulatory reports for submission to management and relevant authorities.
- Perform any other functions assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education/Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from recognized tertiary institution.

Work Experience:
- Preferably 1 - 2 years of experience in asset recovery/restructuring or credit evaluation and early care monitoring functions.
- Familiar with litigation and recovery process.

Knowledge/Tools/Skills
- Strong communication skills, especially in written and spoken Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Conversant in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
