A fast-fashion retail company in Malaysia seeks a skilled Store Manager to lead and develop their store team. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in retail, with 5 years in a managerial role. Responsibilities include driving sales performance, overseeing staff training, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing budgets. Lead, coach, and motivate the store team to achieve strong sales and service standards.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and develop team members for growth.
Oversee staff training on product knowledge, selling skills, and store operating standards.
Drive overall store sales performance and ensure KPIs are achieved.
Set daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and monitor progress closely.
Analyse sales performance, customer trends, and stock movement to develop improvement plans.
Provide feedback to HQ/Buying team on sell-through, customer preferences, and trends.
Oversee store operations including cash handling, stock control, staffing, and customer service.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, health & safety standards, and audit requirements.
Implement security measures to prevent theft, shrinkage, and unauthorised activities.
Oversee proper handling, documentation, and reporting of damaged or broken merchandise.
Ensure adherence to loss prevention SOPs, including regular checks and awareness training for staff.
Oversee store visual merchandising standards to ensure brand guidelines are maintained.
Ensure consistency across all aspects of the store including windows, mannequins and product displays.
Ensure store layout and floor plans are optimised for product placement, customer flow, and sales maximisation.
Provide direction to the Store Supervisor and VM team on seasonal launches and priority items.
Manage store expenses, payroll cost, and operational budgets.
Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
Recruit, interview, and select suitable store staff.
Manage staff attendance, scheduling, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
Prepare sales, stock, manpower, and operational reports.
Lead daily briefings and communicate closely with HQ on store updates and needs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a fast fashion retail environment, with at least 5 years in managerial role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.

Strong analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and peak periods.
