Job summary

A retail company in Malaysia is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to oversee daily boutique operations, drive sales performance, and manage marketing initiatives. This role requires a diploma or degree in a relevant field and proficiency in Microsoft tools, along with strong communication and team management skills. The ideal candidate should be proactive and able to work independently, with occasional travel for boutique visits required for operational support. A competitive allowance for travel is provided.

Job description

Retail Operations: Oversee daily boutique operations and ensure SOP compliance in merchandising, housekeeping, and customer service.

Retail Marketing: Drive boutique sales performance and monitor progress against targets. Plan and execute in-store marketing campaigns and promotions.

Events & Activations: Support on-ground operations during events to ensure smooth execution and liaise with external partners, where needed.

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales vs target, store KPIs and stock ageing.

Others: Assist in competitor checks, promotion tracking and monitor mystery shopper findings, as well as assist with enhancement.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
  1. Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Skills using Canva and AI tools a plus.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with internal as well as external stakeholders.
  4. Ability to prioritize and manage workload. Also, proactive and lead the retail team where needed.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Able to travel for boutique visits when required (travel allowance provided).
