Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Researcher PhD Student based in Perlis, Malaysia. The role involves conducting advanced research in specialized fields, including reviewing existing academic literature, designing experiments, and performing laboratory work. The candidate will be responsible for compiling and analysing data, documenting findings, and contributing to the academic community through research publications. Collaboration with faculty and fellow researchers, as well as participation in seminars and conferences, is expected to support personal and institutional research goals.

Development of a Real‑Time Biomechanical Feedback System for Badminton Using IMU and Vision Sensors

📍 Support Provided

📍 Objective of research title

  1. To design a wearable IMU system and/or video pipeline to capture player movements during badminton strokes.
  2. To build and train machine‑learning models to classify distinct strokes (smash, drop, clear) and evaluate technique quality.
  3. To develop a real‑time feedback system (mobile or dashboard) for athletes and coaches.
