This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior IT Security Administrator (Remote). In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive IT security program. Your impact will be significant as you protect systems, data, and networks from evolving threats while ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements. Accountabilities
  • Perform internal audits, conduct vulnerability and penetration testing, and ensure security controls are fully implemented and monitored.
  • Lead the governance of security architecture for internal IT and designated projects.
  • Leverage Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) to embed security in the enterprise.
  • Assess current security posture and establish monitoring and incident response processes.
  • Manage security tools and collaborate with teams to integrate security across domains.
  • Provide leadership to ensure compliant and resilient security.
  • Maintain secure configurations and compliance with security requirements.
  • Develop practical security roadmaps to address evolving threats.
  • Apply NIST 800-53, FedRAMP Moderate, and CMMC 2.0 control requirements.
  • Implement controls for intrusion detection within the Microsoft 365 security ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with DevOps for security automation in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of encryption and key management practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with at least nine years of experience.
  • Minimum of three years in IT security administration or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of NIST frameworks, FedRAMP, and HIPAA.
  • Proven ability to translate policies into actionable tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender ATP and related tools.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud and endpoint security tools.
  • Experience with internal security audits and compliance reviews.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills for articulating security risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with scripting in PowerShell or Python.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
