Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies aligned with operations to optimize efficiency and minimize consumption
• Set annual energy reduction targets and sustainability goals
• Conduct energy audits to assess facilities and recommend energy‑saving solutions
• Monitor real‑time energy consumption via SCADA or smart meters
• Analyze energy usage data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
• Problem‑solve and find practical, impactful solutions
• Tariff & Cost Optimization: evaluate TNB tariff structures and recommend optimal plans; implement load shifting and maximum demand management strategies; implement cost‑saving measures related to energy procurement and usage
• Project Management: lead energy‑saving retrofit projects; evaluate feasibility and ROI; coordinate solar PV feasibility studies and installations
• Compliance & Reporting: ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and local regulations; prepare monthly energy reports and support ESG disclosures; keep track of deadlines and submission requirements
• Stakeholder Engagement: engage everyone from top management to general operators on energy‑saving practices; raise energy awareness and train site operational teams on best practices for energy efficiency

Job Requirements

• Qualification and Experience:
  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in SCADA and smart metering technologies
  • Knowledge of TNB tariff structures and energy cost optimization strategies
  • Experience with solar PV systems
  • Understanding of Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations and local energy compliance standards
  • Experience preparing energy reports and ESG‑related disclosures
