Position summary

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Regional Procurement Manager to join our Flexible Packaging Category team. Based in Kuala Lumpur and reporting to the Category Lead – Flexible and Paper Based Packaging, you will join a passionate and results focused team, utilizing best in class sourcing processes and tools to achieve business goals.

In this high-impact, strategic role you will be empowered to define and implement category strategies for packaging materials used by Nestle businesses across Africa, Oceania and Asia. You will be a subject matter expert for flexible packaging, providing guidance and market intelligence to cross-functional teams across the globe.

A Day in the Life of a Regional Procurement Manager – Flexible and Paper Based Packaging
  • Act as a subject matter expert for flexible and paper-based packaging, providing guidance and market intelligence to cross-functional teams.
  • Create and implement category strategies for the flexible packaging category (paper and carboard), including market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments to ensure cost optimization and service continuity.
  • Develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities on a regional and global level.
  • Negotiate global contracts, manage strategic supplier relationships, and lead initiatives to enhance commercial excellence and operational resilience.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and assure synergies across various Nestle operations to achieve company targets.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Nestlé’s global Sustainability Commitments and help to drive sustainability in packaging.
What will make you successful
  • Proven track record in strategic procurement and category management for packaging materials in a multi-national environment. Experience in paper and cardboard procurement is advantageous.
  • Solid experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management on a global or regional scale. Demonstrated success in risk management and responsible sourcing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills - with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across a complex, global organization.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is critical to your success. Multi-lingual abilities are not mandatory but will be highly regarded, Mandarin, Japanese a plus.
