Job Summary
Duopharma Biotech Berhad is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee financial matters across our regional offices. This position plays a critical role in driving financial performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring sound governance and compliance in line with both local and international standards. The ideal candidate is a strong business partner, equipped with solid financial acumen and the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for regional operations.
- Provide strategic financial insights to regional leadership to support data-driven decision‑making and business growth.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
- Manage working capital, cash flow, and cost optimization initiatives across the region.
- Oversee Malaysia’s group insurance portfolio, including policy renewals, claims management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Support financial projects by preparing projections, liaising with legal and headquarters, and offering financial advisory.
- Maintain and update the Limit of Authority (LOA) framework to ensure sound governance practices.
- Collaborate with the Malaysia Finance Department for monthly closings, audits, and statutory submissions.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance
- Professional certification (e.g., MIA, Chartered Accountant) is required
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector
- Proven track record in financial reporting, insurance management, and cross‑functional collaboration
Technical Competencies
- Strong command of accounting systems and financial modelling tools
- Proficient in financial analysis methods (DCF, IRR, NPV, etc.)
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and integrated financial planning
