We specialize in building high-performing remote teams for clients around the world. As part of our Southeast Asia expansion, we’re seeking a skilled and motivated Recruitment Consultant (Contractor) based in Malaysia to support our regional hiring needs.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced, self-driven Recruitment Consultant to support our hiring initiatives in Malaysia and potentially across Southeast Asia. This is a contractor role suited for someone who can work independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands local talent markets and recruitment best practices. You'll manage end-to-end recruitment while working closely with our global and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Execution

• Lead the recruitment lifecycle: role intake, job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and offers.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define hiring needs and ideal candidate profiles.
• Source candidates through job boards, social platforms, and your own network.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with recruitment goals and timelines.
• Maintain up-to-date candidate pipelines using our internal tracking tools.

HR Operations

• Assist in onboarding processes, including documentation and background checks.
• Provide guidance to new hires regarding engagement model, pay structure, and expectations.
• Support compliance with Malaysian labor practices, where applicable.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in an agency or offshore staffing environment.
• Deep knowledge of the Malaysian recruitment landscape, job boards, and talent pools.
• Strong communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is a plus).
• Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple roles simultaneously.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using ATS and collaboration tools.
• Prior experience hiring contractors or freelancers is a plus.
