Job summary

A healthcare facility in Johor Bahru is seeking a qualified professional to provide patient education, monitor treatment conditions, and ensure safety protocols during radiation therapy. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy, possess minimum two years of relevant experience, and have knowledge in IMRT and IGRT setups. This role is critical in maintaining patient safety and clinical service quality in a demanding environment.

Job description

Provide patient education and perform patient assessments, including monitoring of weight changes and treatment-related conditions such as mucositis.

Ensure patient safety before, during, and after treatment by delivering appropriate care and continuously monitoring the patient’s condition.

Strictly comply with radiation protection rules, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and the public.

Ensure accuracy and precision in all technical processes, from CT simulation and treatment planning through to daily treatment delivery, in accordance with the approved treatment plan.

Perform proper handling, routine care, and quality control of radiation therapy equipment and related accessories to ensure uninterrupted clinical services.

Document any equipment malfunction or breakdown in the logbook and promptly report issues to the Medical Physicist and Head of Department.

Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accessories in the CT simulation room, control room, and treatment rooms.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy, Health Sciences, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Knowledge and practical exposure in IMRT, IGRT, and SRT treatment setup will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant working experience in a radiation therapy or related clinical setting.
