Responsibilities
- Ensure effective integration between software, hardware and mechanical.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with quality and technical standards.
- Review design, testing and validation results to meet performance requirements.
- Ensure all R&D team development activities comply with ISO9001, IATF 16949, and automotive industry standards, integrating APQP requirements into hardware processes.
- Review mechanical testing for durability, IP rating, thermal, and vibration compliance.
- Review hardware test procedures to ensure compliance with design intent and safety requirements.
- Ensure product testing meets all technical, compliance, and customer‑specific requirements.
- Revise technical specifications to align with quality, production needs, and APQP guidelines.
- Establish and execute hardware/software development roadmap for automotive cameras and dashcam.
- Manage R&D engineering teams and conduct performance evaluations.
- Quality and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate technical communication with global partners and OEM customers.
- Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, IATF 16949, AEC-Q100, etc.).
- Market & technology trend analysis.
- Monitor trends in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and autonomous driving imaging technologies.
- Benchmark competitor products and develop differentiation strategies.
- Evaluate adoption of new sensors and AI algorithms.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior engineering or R&D leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Oversee project planning and execution across R&D teams.
- Experience with image sensors, lens design, ISP and image processing algorithms.
- Knowledge of embedded system, SoC, FPGA and AI‑based image recognition.
- Understanding of automotive standard and quality systems.
- Strong global team leadership and communication skills.
- Project management and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience in OEM/ODM customer engagement.
- Experience with ADAS and autonomous driving camera systems.
- Track record of patents, publications, or other technical achievements.
