Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.

Job Description

• Always promote the best interests of the Company.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, compliance of products.
• Regularly liaise with clients in regards with technical discussions pertaining to products, escalating strategic issues to the Head of R&D/QC
• Compile a Quality Assurance Plans for key projects.
• Regularly track and report on progress to corporate teams and Head of R&D/QC.
• Support monitoring of product performance in Wind-Marine-Civil projects and provide accurate technical reporting to the Head of R&D/QC and the Project Management Team.
• Liaise with raw material suppliers ensuring adequate resourcing. Highlight key concerns as necessary.
• Work closely with the Wind-Marine-Civil Project Management Team to provide technical support and ensure compliance with agreed specifications.
• Responsible for the technical performance and daily operations of the Johor R&D laboratory, ensuring efficient workflows and supporting validation for future labs under the direction of the Head of R&D/QC.
• Perform regular inspection of Wind-Marine-Civil laboratories in Johor, Malaysia and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support in claim disputes of Wind-Marine-Civil related products.
• Improve Wind-Marine-Civil products at Johor, Malaysia and manage R&D activities, in collaboration with Corporate.
• Plan and conduct trials and demonstrations for key customers, under the direction of the Head of R&D/QC.

• Encourage and drive quality and continuous improvement of processes used across the team

• Provide onsite technical support as necessary customer trials
• Support collaboration with Corporate Sika Offshore, Marine Construction teams by preparing data, reports and technical input, with strategic coordination lead by the Head of R&D/QC.
